Bio

My name is Ray, and I am a mathematical biologist who uses stochastic processes to understand biological phenomena across a variety of fields, including oncology, ecology, epidemiology, and pharmacology. I received my PhD (2023) from the Duke University math department under the guidance of my advisor, Rick Durrett. I will be finishing my postdoc at the University of Utah in February 2026, starting a postdoc at Princeton PACM working with Simon Levin’s group in March 2026, and starting a tenure track position at Texas A&M in January 2027.
